This is all working as expected before the upgrade project. Due to SEPA implemetation, SAP upgrade project went on. After the upgrade project, this functionality is not working.

Process to be done between FPVA and FPVB

$

Hi All,

As we know, SAP - ISU consists two transactions.

FPVA - Dunning Proposals

FPVB - Dunning Activity

I want to know once FPVA is run, how to exclude multiple items from being passed to FPVB. Will this be custom program or SAP has provided any functionality for this?

From help.sap.com, I could find below related information:

The dunning proposal run proposes a reconciliation key for the documents posted during dunning. You can change this proposal manually. The dunning activity run only uses this reconciliation key if the run ID agrees with that of the dunning proposal run.

So where proposal can be changed manually?

Once FPVA is completed, FPM3 shows dunning line items but it can not be decided that dunning activities are also performed. Is there any way to make sure in FPM3 that dunning activities are also carried out?

Thanks,

Hi Xperts,

Are transactions:

FKKCLERK_CM_CUCENTER - Maintain Department Responsibilities

FKKCLERK_CM_CUUNIT - Maintain Unit Responsibilities

FKKCLERK_CM_CUAGENT - Maintain Collection Specialist Responsibilities

Meant for a workflow administrator role, or for the collection manager?

Work item assignment and org. structure

$

Hello,

For the work item assignment SAP provides the standard task, and the rules (responsibilities assigned to them):

TS21000273 FI-CA Collections Department

TS21000274 FI-CA Collection Unit

TS21000269 FI-CA Collection Specialist

Which are then assigned to the org structure.

Are this business rules evaluated in a hierarchical manner?

For example, if I have one collection department (TS21000273), 2 collection group (TS21000274), 6 collection sub-groups (TS21000274), and then collection specialists will they be evaluated sequentially? Now my system seems to be evaluating only the rule assigned at the collection specialist standard task.

If the purpose is to build an organizational structure, then it should be possible to first evaluate the rule of the department, then evaluate the rules for the different collection group and sub groups TS21000274 and finally the rules assigned to the agents (collection specialists), right?.

Thanks to all.

Removing a Reversed Invoice from CIC0 Billing History Screen

How would I go about removing an invoice that was reversed, but still showing under "Billing History" on the CIC0 (Customer Information Center) screen?

I have verified that the Billing Document and the Print Document has been reversed but on the Billing History section on the CICO screen displays the Reversed Billing document and the New Billing Document.

This new document now has a total amt due at the top of the statement but a different amount on the bill stub.  This should not be.  Please advise.

Thanks.

Hi experts,

Actually, I process a payment with one madate having one CA with 5 open items.

1 open item with due date 11.05.2013

4 open items with due date 22.08.2013

In the DMEE XMl (pain 008.001.02) file generated, I get two FRST's for the same mandate meanwhile I expected one FRST.

The first FRST has 10/09/2013 as collection date.

The second FRST has 07/09/2013 as collection date.

can you help to sort this out why I'm getting two FRST in the payment file.

The smart meter elephant

$

The story of six blind men describing an elephant has been around for centuries.  As each one touches a different piece of the elephant, they “see” and experience a unique aspect.  When they all get back together they attempt to convince the others that their experience was truth.  They are ardent that the elephant is like a wall, snake, spear, tree, fan or rope.  So it is with smart metering.

Blind-Men-And-The-Elephant.gifFrom a distance, the description is fairly straight forward, but up close, where the texture is, we may miss how they all fit together, and if you only know one aspect of smart metering your view of the whole is lacking.  A quick internet search returns over 19MM results and over 230,000 responses when searching for smart meter vendors.  How is a utility supposed to understand how smart meters will or should work and the impact they might have on their business without getting trampled by the elephant?

First, it is helpful to get a guide, a mahout, someone who has been all around the elephant so they can give you a complete picture of what you are getting into before getting started or to help clarify that picture if you are already on your way.  They should know, or help you determine, what the driving forces to implement smart meters are: government or regulatory, society, technology, corporate, etc.  They should be able to outline how those forces impact wherever you are, from generation to transmission and distribution through retailing the utility.

Once you have an understanding of these factors, your guide can provide you with an overall business assessment that outlines costs: physical meters, rolling out those meters, staffing, and the multiple monitors, databases, and analytics you will need to be successful.  They will also identify the benefits: more precise billing, load balancing, forecasting, potential new revenue streams, etc.  In addition to these standard pieces of planning, your guide should also walk you through organizational changes that may need to occur and lay out a plan to transform the organization before, during and after. It is only then you see the whole elephant and understand how it might be put to work for you.  Even if you’ve started touching the elephant, it is good to have a guide show you what you are doing well and where you can improve.  Once you have the whole picture, you can take this plan to your board or regulatory body to show impacts on your customers, environment, society and business.

If you have ever been on a guided tour, you know there are good tour guides and those that are there just for the money.  When selecting a mahout look for one that has done this before, preferably many times, so they can tell you what might be unique to your particular situation.  Any good guide knows that every elephant has its’ own personality and will be able to see that ahead of time to make sure you have a good ride and get to your destination.  Choose wisely and do your research so the elephant doesn’t throw you off before you even start.

Do not forget your consumer, commercial or industrial customers.  Invite them along for the ride, show them the elephant and what it can do for them. You might even consider bringing them in on a Design Thinking session as we did in Copenhagen last March where teams designed a social media portal to help consumers understand daily usage rates and how they might reduce them.  SAP has guides to do both, show you the elephant and run Design Thinking workshops when you are ready.

Finally, when you look at an elephant up close you are initially surprised and maybe even intimidated at the size, but as you become more familiar with it you come to appreciate  what it can do for you.  The same can be said with smart metering, initially surprising even a bit scary, but once understood it becomes a vital part of your business.  A good mahout will make that ride more pleasurable.

Hi Expert,

When I'm running FIRST transaction I can exlud Item in the event 601 by doing:  t_0601-xaktp_0601 = ' '

But in this event you have only one transaction at a time.

When I process the first document, I get hist BP and the corresponding mandate too.

When I process the second, i would like to check if this current doc has alrady been processed for the same mandate.

Situation is: event 601 is called for every document, so the variables where I store documents and corresponding BP & Mandates are lost.

How can I trace what are the mandates already processed ?

Issue : Error message False call to FKK_RESET_CLEARING while calling a method to reverse the bill docs in a workflow.

$

Hi All,

I am facing an issue while calling a method to reverse the final bills/invoices and then reset clear the documents in SAP ISU ECC 6.0.

This method is being called from a reverse move out workflow as the customer payments made during move out as final bill need to be reversed and the rest clearings need to be done.

But the method gives the below mentioned error and the workflow goes into error.

The error says :

Message >0188 - Internal error: False call for FKK_RESET_CLEARING

Diagnosis
The function module FKK_RESET_CLEARING was called up for documentV1. however, this type of call is not permitted for one of thefollowing reasons:

  • The parameter I_PARTIAL (partial clearing reset) is not set.
  • Partial resets had already been posted for document &V1& so that every

further clearing reset can also only be a partial one.

  • Parameter I_PARTIAL is set, but the corresponding table

T_ACTIV does not contain any valid entries.

But the above issues are addressed in the code(screenshots attached)

The catchy part is once we restart the workflow , it gets executed successfully without any error.

Could anyone please guide me as to why the error is occurring  in the first instance.

Please let me know if you need any more info.

Appreciate your help in this regard !!

Hi Friends,

Can I use fpb3 tcode to create a payment lot with some external file?

What should be the format of the file? Can I upload a txt or exel file directly from here to create payment lot?

Please kindly get back to me. Due to some system problem today, I need to create payment lots from excel file manually...

Is there any procedure to read the excel data easily. As the problem is only for today, we can afford to create  acustom program to read data.:-)

In FP05, i tried copying the data from excel file, however it is just copying first 19 entries or so.

Thanks in advance.

Design Thinking - The New Frontier

If you’ve not heard of design thinking, then you need to check it out.

It recently even saw it features on a recent 60 minutes episode with David Kelley, the founder of IDEO. During the segment they even discuss SAP’s founder, Hasso Plattner and the human centered design work at Stanford.

60_minutes.png

SAP has fully embraced this approach to solving problems and is working with customers all over the world to help redesign business processes.  I invite you to reach out to your account executive and see if SAP could do a design thinking workshop around a specific problem that your team is thinking about.  The approach is fresh and new and like nothing that you’ve seen before.  We can deliver activities which will help your own employees better understand their customers and creatively come up with unique insights and solutions to difficult problems.

In my experience, your end customers will often find it difficult and unintuitive to do business with you.  That because we often look at what processes will make the organization more efficient and keep costs low instead of what processes will make the customer’s life easier. At its core, design thinking leverages empathy to radically change our perspective and get us thinking differently.

I have received extremely positive feedback for each of the design thinking sessions I have been involved in.  People are amazed at how energized they are and how much fun it is.  By the end of the day we have walls full of post-it notes, simple prototypes and storyboards.

design_thinking.png

The following application is a concept application that we developed as a result of design thinking. We worked together with a diverse group of people to look at the problem of maintenance.  We realized that there was a lot of information that an organization needs when repairing field assets and that not having that information can be expensive.  They would need to know:

  • What work orders are assigned to us?
  • Where is the asset located?  How long will it take to get there?
  • What is the problem?
  • What is the weather like?
  • What tools do I need?
  • How do I make the repair?
  • How long will it take to repair?
  • What other repairs are scheduled for this asset?
  • How was this asset performing prior to the repair?
  • How should this asset be operating after it’s been repaired?

We took all this feedback and put together a concept app for the iPad that encompasses all these types of questions and more.

In our case we used a wind farm scenario.  Our organization has 4 wind farms that we manage.  From this overview screen I am able to see the health of all my assets. I can select from multiple views including real-time views that display weather and transmission network related information.

The user can drill down into a collection of wind turbines off the coast.  The alerts over the icons indicate alerts which have been raised. The color of the icons indicates the health of the asset.

m2m_000.png

If I’m an engineer onsite, I can easily view information about an asset through an augmented reality. The ability to see information about the asset augmented on top of the iPad camera.  As you pan the camera around, the information on the screen will move as well.

m2m_001.png

Once I’ve selected the asset you are able to see real-time information about how the asset is performing. I can see what maintenance has been recently performed as well as what additional maintenance is required now.

m2m_002.png

I can drill into the alert at see that although the problem was reporting as a blade malfunction, the details show that actually the maximum temperature threshold of the main coupler has been exceeded.  In this case the job to repair this problem is unassigned, so I can assign it to myself.

m2m_003.png

I can see recommended steps and the output provides me future temperature outcomes based on existing predictive models.

m2m_004.png

One thing that engineers would like to have is built-in instructions on how to perform a repair.  Here we’ve integrated Visual Enterprise into this app so that the engineer can see step by step how to replace the main coupler.

Blade ReplacementDisassemblyComponent Parts
m2m_005.pngm2m_006.pngm2m_007.png

This view is perfect for the engineer because they can see exactly how the item is to be disassembled and reassembled.

I also have schematics just a finger tap away.  When I’m up in a wind turbine I don’t want to have to walk back down because I need a schematic or need to understand more about the repair that needs to be done.

Synthetic profiles with dual rate register

$

0

Hi,

Our requirement is the following:

We want to apply a synthetic profile to an installation that carries a dual rate register (high-peak/low-peak).

As far as we understand, the standard only allow to determine A SINGLE Usage factor for the total consumption of the installation (provided throught QUANTI24): Usage factor = TOTAL consumption (billed) / TOTAL consumption (synthetic profile)

From our point of view, we would need one usage factor per register, in order to allocate the high-peak/low-peak consumption to the corresponding periods.

The synthetic profile would therefore be applied to the consumptions provided by the two registers according to high/low periods defined by the "Day profiles" defined on the "Sythetic profile".

Thanks a lot for your help.

DMEE – EndToEndId with paymantorder

$

Hello everyone,

I have question about a SEPA implementation. In the XML file, the CT pain001, is measured the  following field in the ‘PmtID’, InstrID, this field is filled with the  Payment order’ number from the table ‘PYORDH’ . The field below in the XML is the ‘EndToEndId’. This field contains, now, the last six positions of the ‘Payment order’ from the table ‘PYORD’.

When I get the MT940 back from the bank (RBS) then I aspect to clear on this number that is measured in tag 86 from the MT940. However the tag86 contains only the six last positions as mentioned in the XML file in the ‘EndToEndId’ field.

Does anyone know how I get the ‘payment order’ number into the ‘EndToEndId’ field? So finally automatic clearing will be effected.

I have found the following in the tcode DMEE:

FICA : Wrong TAX code determination in Final Billing

$
0
0

Dear All,

In our company we are facing a problem during vat code determination of period end/ final Invoicing.

Due to regulatory requirements it was required to introduce a new VAT code (X1)for the Grid Company cost. With Validity from date as 01/08/2013 , in IMG ; Code for Tax Code Determination. Before that we were having the VAT code(Y1) for the same.

We have Partial Billing Procedure for BBP .The Budget Bill invoice request for the month of July was created on 17/07/20013 & having the due date of 01/08/2013.

When we check the FICA document for the invoiced July budget invoice document, the amount is posted against the expected VAT code Y1. (because the Budget bill posting happened in July where the Y1 tax code was applicable)

Now the customer had his final/Period end invoice posted on 01/08/2013.

When we checked the invoice in FICA document overview, we see that the BBP amount was adjusted against VAT code X1 instead of the expected Y1. (because the Budget bill posting happened in July where the Y1 tax code was applicable & even the BB invoice was created with Y1)

The strange part is, tax determination code of the Budget bill gets changed after period end invoicing. Even though BB was initially invoiced with different tax code.

Kindly let us know if this is a strange behaviour & expected functionality.
