EMIGALL custom migration object for Z-tables

$
0
0

Hi gurus:

In my current IS-U project we needed to create some Z tables to hold historical data from some legacy systems.

I wanted to explore the possibility of using EMIGALL custom-migration objects to do the data loads into the Z-tables.

Has anyone done it before and how is this possible?

Thanks to you all!

TopicUtilities 3.0: Traditional IT in a Non-Traditional World

The buzz: Playing catch-up.

We can shop for anything and everything, chat and talk with friends and colleagues, watch TV and movies, and check our bank accounts – all on the Web.

But when it come to utility bills, why do so many of us still receive paper bills by snail mail and have to pay by check or phone?

Reality check: Utilities’ adoption of digital technologies lags behind retail, communications, and even government.

When will Utilities catch-up and get on board?

The experts speak.

Michael Shanko, CMS Energy: “If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living.” (Gail Sheehy)

Jill Feblowitz, IDC: “It is change, continuing change, inevitable change, that is the dominant factor in society today. No sensible decision can be made any longer without taking into account not only the world as it is, but the world as it will be.” (Isaac Asimov)

James McClelland, SAP: “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” (George Bernard Shaw)

Discusing some of the latest trends shaping the global utilities industry

FPO4 Spool output is not in easily readable format.

Hello,

we execute FPO4 with output control having option of Grid interval. So, it can only be executed with List display and can not be in ALV. Due to this final output comes in as attached format. Now, whenever this output is downloaded in excel it becomes more complex and not user friendly readable.

I know I can user event 9567 to export the output of FPO4, but again this event does not give the bifurcation with grid interval. I will have to explicitly write the logic for grid interval if I implement event 9567.

Is there any standard way?

Thanks

Spot billing requirement in SAP

$

Hello,

Our company is planning to implement spot billing process for domestic gas customers. In which, meter reader will generate the utility bill on the spot while taking the reading at customer's place. Payment process is not included in this and will be separately process afterwards. We have already implemented PI in our project, so interfacing for spot billing also we are planning to do with use of PI.

Is there any standard functionality available in ISU using which we can transfer data of MRO, Bill, Invoice from SAP to external system and from external to SAP system?

We have found some of the Enterprises services for creating billiing invoicing in SPROXY transaction. But we have not found any standard solution for Invoicing printing and MRO transfer to external system.

Thanks,

Viraj.

SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities: Add new Odata Entity

$

The OData Service model delivered in SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities and Public Sector is built via the SAP Gateway Service Builder (SEGW) tool. Depending on the business needs, the SAP Gateway service model can be extended on different levels:

      1. OData entity structure extension (adding append structure with custom fields)

          http://http://scn.sap.com/community/utilities/blog/2014/07/30/sap-multichannel-foundation-for-utilities-extending-the-interface-of-an-odata-entity-using-custom-fields

      2.  Addition of new OData entities

      3.  OData entity logic extension (for example, adding additional validations)

          http://scn.sap.com/community/utilities/blog/2014/08/01/sap-multichannel-foundation-for-utilities-implement-custom-logic-for-an-existing-entity

The common situation a customer faces is that the customer would like to add new entity to existing service model.

In this blog, we will illustrate how to add new entity “ExternalAccountIdentification” to show Account identification. You can also refer to other two blogs mentioned above.

1. Start SEGW in the SAP CRM system and create a new service model project Z_CRM_UTILITIES_UMC_NEW.

2. Right click on Data Model, select Redefine OData service (GW).

p1.png

3. Select CRM_UTILITIES_UMC as a service to be redefined.

4. Select all entities to be included in the new service

p2.png

p3.png

5.Create new entity (ExternalAccountIdentification) and entity set (ExternalAccountIdentifications).

p4.png

6. Add association and navigation property from Account entity so that ExternalAccountIdentifications can be accessed via navigation from Account Entity.

    Navigation Property: Identifications

    Association: Account_ExternalAccountIdentifications

p5.png

p6.png

7. Save and activate the model service.

8.Create implementation class for newly created entity. You have to inherit the abstract class CL_CRM_IU_UMC_ODATA_ABSTRACT

p7.png

9. Create new BAdI implementation using the implementation class created in the previous step and give the filter value “ExternalAccountIdentification”(Entity Name).

p11.png

10. In SAP Gateway system, add and activate backend service.

p8.png

11. You can use the advanced REST client to test your newly created entity. You can add your username and password in the Authorization header.

I have a requirement in FP05.

Currently FP05 posts the payment to contract accounts even though it has Posting lock at master data level when use Document number or Payment specification or payment form as selection values in SET1/SELW.

The requirement is to post to clarification account by selecting field DFKKZP-XKLAE upon some conditions using FQEVENTS.

I have checked 220, 230, 242 262 but not able to change the line item. It is cleared and kept to original position.

Please be advised. Thank you.

SAP UCES - One BP having multiple Contract Accounts

Hi,

I understand there is a way to display a list of contract accounts that the contract partner has after UCES logon.

The same screen can also be accessed by Menu link Switch Account. But is this  a standard feature of UCES or does it require any customization or configuration? If yes, then any details will be very helpful.

Thanks,

Payment lot posted across business area

Hi FICAMembers,

I have a Payment lot generated. When customers post across different Business area; I see 1 line in dfkkzp and children in dfkkzs. The business area and Profit center are at the dfkkzp level. The dfkkzs has 2 lines belonging to 1 business area and 1 line to another Business area.

In such case how do we get right profit center in dfkkzp as there is only one line there.

Any suggestions.

Thanks,

SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities and Public Sector: How to Set up Template Mobile UI Application for Local Development

$
0
0

Introduction

This document is intended for developers who want to install SAP UI5 template mobile application through Eclipse IDE on their local development environment.

SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities and Public Sector delivers an UI responsive template mobile application which helps the user to manage all aspects of their utility accounts and view important information from their utility company anywhere and anytime.

Template mobile UI application consists of three packages:

  • public/logon
  • foundation
  • private (UMCUI5_MOBILE)

You can download all these applications from UMCUI501 add-on deployed on SAP Gateway.

Private:

This application is a mobile application which consumes OData services from MCF CRM and ERP add-ons. You can download this BSP application through Eclipse SAP UI5 team provider tool.

Conventional package name:  sap.umc.mobile

Public:

This application offers a logon page and provides features like user maintenance. Please use the report BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to download from MIME repository public application which is not loaded to SAP Gateway as a BSP application.

Conventional package name:  sap.umc.mobile.public

Foundation:

This application is used as a foundation library for mobile applications of Multichannel foundation. Please use the report BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to download from MIME repository foundation application which is not loaded to SAP Gateway as a BSP application.

Conventional package name:  sap.umc.mobile.foundation

All three application packages should be created as per their given conventional name in Eclipse.

NOTE: Customers usually don't need to modify the foundation library.

Find below the structure of SAP MCF public and foundation packages in MIME repository:

1.png

This blog is sequenced as follows:

  1. Prerequisites

          a. Eclipse installed with Apache Tomcat

          b. SAPUI5 tools plugins added to Eclipse

  2.  Installation

          a.  Creating SAPUI5 Template

          b.  Downloading application packages (public, private and foundation) from BSP and MIME repositories

  3.  Deployment

    1. Configuration changes
    2. Deploy on server and test

  4.  References

Prerequisites

  • User must have access to SAP Gateway from where the application is downloaded.
  • Java runtime environment JRE 1.6 32 bit version
  • Eclipse Juno or any latest version http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/
  • Operating System: Windows OS (XP, Vista, 7 or 8/8.1)

Downloading and Installing SAP UI5 Tools :

2.png

Installation

1. Creating SAP UI5 application projects: we have to create SAP UI5 application projects for all the packages (private, public and foundation).

        a. Private application (sap.umc.mobile)

      • Open a new SAP UI5 project (File-> New -> Other)

Capture.PNG

      • Create the application with the conventional package name and uncheck the box with option “Create an Initial View”

Capture4.PNG

      • Now right click on the project and click on Team -> Share

5.png

6.png

      • Select the SAP Gateway.

7.png

      • Logon to the system with SAP Logon username.

8.png

9.png

10.png

          b. Public and foundation: create empty SAPUI5 application projects for public and foundation package and follow the steps below:

      • Download application package (public and foundation) from MIME repository.
      • Logon to SAP Gateway, go to transaction “SE38” and download the application package as shown below.

              Repository name                                          :  BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS

Mime Repository Path for foundation Package:  /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UI2/umcui5_mobile_foundation

Mime Repository Path for Public Package      :  /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UI2/umcui5_mobile_logon

11.png

12.png

      • Make sure you export to an empty directory on the disk.

13.png

14.png

        •   Similarly for foundation package:

15.png

Now, manually copy and paste the downloaded package from the local folder to the Web Content folder of the respective SAPUI5 Template project created in Eclipse as shown below.

For public package:

16.png

17.png

For foundation:

18.png

19.png

Deployment:

  1. Configuration Changes:
    • Check context root for project. It should be same as mentioned in index_local.js.
    • Right click project and click the properties attribute and check for “Web Project Settings” and adjust the context root field if required.

20.png

    b.  Deploy on Server

Deploy all the 3 application on the tomcat server.Capture23.PNG

And now you can see your application ready for development on the below URL:

http://localhost:8080/sap.umc.mobile/index_local.html

Once the development is completed, the package has to be deployed back to the SAP Gateway. For private application, team provider can be used to upload the application, for public and foundation the report mentioned above should be used for upload to MIME repository.

Changing functional location in iw53 service notification

$

0

Hi,

We want to change functional location field value in service notification from device location to connection object. We are using function module BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFY  for this purpose. We are passing relevant parameters in  notifheader      and    notifheader_x fields.

Basically, this all is being done in an enhancement point in tcode EG90 which creates service notification in mass. By default the notifications are getting created with device location populated in functional location field. So we want to change it to connection object in an enhancement point itself . We have aBDC call in place for it (called inside enhancement point) but we now want to replace BDC by function module call.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Thanks,
